Chartwell Controls Ltd upholds the UN Declaration of Human Rights and the ILO Convention both in relation to its employees, its third party suppliers and supply chain.
Employment with Chartwell Controls Ltd, its third parties and suppliers is freely chosen. Following the ILO Convention – there is no forced, bonded or involuntary prison labour and workers are not required to lodge “deposits” or their identity papers with Novus Compliance or its third parties or suppliers and are free to leave their employer after reasonable notice.
Chartwell Controls Ltd works with its third party suppliers and its supply chain to ensure that these standards are upheld through our CSR Approach. Chartwell Controls Ltd commits to upholding the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and relevant ILO Conventions and does not employ child labour.
Chartwell Controls Ltd works with its supply chain through the “Sourcing with Human Dignity” procurement standard to ensure, according to the above conventions, that Chartwell Controls Ltd does not knowingly use suppliers which use child labour.
If child labour is subsequently discovered during an audit or any other routine inspection/checks, steps are then taken with the best interest of the child in mind (as guided by the ILO Conventions and UN Convention on the Rights of the Child) to eradicate child labour.
